SFS-DK (Sveriges förenade studentkårers doktorandkommitté, Sweden)

SFS was founded in 1921 and is the national student union of Sweden. SFS has a permanent PhD candidate committe, SFS-dk, founded in 1985. The aim of SFS-dk is to represent all PhD candidates in Sweden. Therefore the PhD candidates at every university in Sweden can select one candidate to the board to represent them. Today, SFS-dk represents nearly 17.000 PhD candidates. SFS-dk is politically independent and closely cooperates with the labour unions to promote the rights of the group it represents.
