Official launch of signing the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment

51 early signatories of the Agreement

After a 9-month process, Science Europe and the European University Association opened the new Agreement co-drafted by more than 350 organisations today at the plenary sessions of the European Research & Innovation Days. Eurodoc took an active role already before in the creation of the scoping report that linked Open Science and Research Assessment as related topics, and highlighted existing difficulties for the advancement of academia overall. Moreover, Eurodoc actively participated in the co-creation of the agreement that aims to reform research assessment systems across Europe. As such, it is a great pleasure for us to be among the first signees of the agreement and we look forward to the constitutional meeting of the corresponding coalition that will be established as a community of practice and to ensure the immediate impact of the reforms.

More details are provided in our press release as early adopters indicating our signature, as well as via the links below.

Oleksandr Berezko, President of Eurodoc: “Eurodoc is known for its commitment to Open Science, and the upcoming research assessment reform is key to its implementation. That's an honor for Eurodoc to be showcased as early signers of the related Agreement during the high-level online session at the European R&I Days, and we hope the event will give an impetus to the reform.”
