The Eurodoc Conference 2025 – Breaking Barriers: Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in academia is organised by Eurodoc and the PhD Association Network Denmark (PAND), with support of the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU).

Together with other Scandinavian countries, Denmark shares the reputation of being inclusive, especially in terms of gender equality. But also in a culture with flat hierarchies, inequalities further persist, an experience shared by many early career researchers across Europe. In today's academia, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) serve not only as moral imperatives but also as catalysts for innovation, progress, and genuine representation. The inherent value of DEI in academic settings cannot be overstated, as it directly influences the quality and integrity of research, teaching, and institutional culture.

The conference will consist of a mix of panel sessions, workshops and keynote speakers.
