SECURE2 Workshop and in-Person Board Meeting in Krakow

SECURE2 Workshop and in-Person Board Meeting in Cracow

On 30–31 January 2026, hybrid workshops dedicated to the SECURE2 project, together with a Eurodoc Board meeting, were held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology, Poland.

Funded under the HORIZON-WIDERA-2024-ERA-02 programme, SECURE2 brings together 18 partners from 13 European countries to pilot and test the implementation of the European Framework for Research Careers (ERCF). The project aims to improve research career development and researcher mobility across Research Performing and Research Funding Organisations.

During the workshops, participants explored key tools developed within the SECURE project, including Research Career Framework (RCF) and the Principles for Tenure Track-like Models (TTLMS), discussing their application at institutional, team, and individual levels. Particular attention was given to early and incremental actions that can support Early Career Researchers and help address career precarity.

The workshops were highly productive and enabled a broad and comprehensive reflection on how to strengthen sustainable and inclusive research career ecosystems across Europe.

We thank the Cracow University of Technology for the kind hospitality and support.
