The European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (Eurodoc) just released the “Eurodoc response on the Future of FP10 and ERC” : The response addresses the consequences of the European Commission’s plan to restructure the organisation of R&I funding as reported in ScienceBusiness. These plans are alarming and, if followed through on, could endanger funding schemes anchored in research excellence and bottom-up initiatives, as well as the independence of the European Research Council.
